When I was a child, I was afraid to hug people. I learned early to shy away, to keep to myself, to stand just outside the circle, watching connections pass between others from a distance. Intimacy, love, and being known felt too heavy to hold. The camera became a way for me to carry that weight, to witness and even experience closeness without retreating. In this era, shaped by social media, artificial intelligence, and constant digital presence, we are increasingly isolated, anxious, and uncertain. The world never stops talking yet somehow leaves us feeling emptier and more isolated than ever. Through photographing friends and strangers, I document emerging adulthood as it is lived, focusing on the tender, vulnerable, energetic, and uncertain. These photos explore how intimacy, friendship, and empathy resist isolation, reminders of how we are connected to each other in our messy, fragile existence. The weight we carry is love, but it is a weight that we share.
